He started gathering nutritional information which could help him to learn the science behind food. At 43, he started off research with several articles and read books regarding intermittent fasting. The science behind it seemed crazy to him at first. He learned about fasting for 8, 16, 24 or 36 hours. He says,” fasting is no fad- humans have been fasting for millennia”.

He kept on gathering information with several books on Intermittent fasting to eat whole and unprocessed foods. Scott started off to lose weight of 55 pounds. His body fat came down from 26.5% to 16.2%. “I hit plateaus from time to time, but I just kept going, always trussing the schedule would work”.

He had chosen 16:8 pattern for losing weight. He felt his body lighter, healthier and more in control after dieting. He used to skip breakfast and go with luch and dinner for the rest of day. Although in first few days his brain screamed, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” over days, he dropped from six meals to four and then chooses “One meal a day”.

He tries to eat between 1pm to 5pm. In closed window he just sips on plain or lime water. His last meal would be three hours before bed time. His addiction to sweets killed him. He controlled himself badly and killed off taking sugar substitutes as well as they were making the cravings worse.
